No analytics or advertising profiles
The website has no analytics, advertising trackers, or advertising cookies, and it does not sell personal data. No cookie banner appears because the only cookies it sets are the strictly necessary sign-in cookies described below.
Forecasts stay on your device until you submit them
Setting how likely YES is for Episode 01 on the homepage stores a whole number from 1 to 99 in localStorage under he-private-forecast when browser storage is available. Until you submit it while signed in, it is not sent to Hollywood Evolves, published, or counted in a Community Forecast. “Clear my forecast” removes that value, and clearing site data also removes it. The Season One question pool has no voting controls.
Sign in with LinkedIn
Signing in is optional. If you choose Sign in with LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares your LinkedIn member identifier, your name, your email address, and whether LinkedIn has verified that email, through the openid, profile, and email permissions. Hollywood Evolves does not receive your connections, employer, or posts, and never posts to LinkedIn. Signing in shows that you control a LinkedIn account; it does not verify your identity or professional standing.
Forecasts you submit
A submitted forecast is stored with your account and the time you submitted it, and every revision is kept. Hollywood Evolves keeps this record of members and their forecasts to calculate the Community Forecast, to score forecasts when questions resolve, and to report how the community’s view changes, for example in the show’s Market Updates. The public sees only the Community Forecast, a median of current forecasts shown once at least ten people have forecast, and the number of forecasters. Your individual forecast is never published with your name.
Comments
Comments are tied to the account that wrote them and are reviewed before publication. An approved comment is published with your name only if you consent when you submit it.
Cookies
Two strictly necessary cookies support sign-in. __Host-he_oidc lasts up to ten minutes while you sign in and protects against forged sign-in responses. __Host-he_session keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Both are Secure and HttpOnly, and neither is used for advertising or analytics. Signing out removes your session.
Deleting your account
“Delete account,” available while you are signed in, removes your LinkedIn identifier, name, email address, sessions, and comments. Your forecasts remain without your name or email, under a pseudonymous code derived one-way from your LinkedIn account, so past Community Forecasts and scores do not change after the fact. If you sign in again later, that code lets the site count you once rather than twice.
Sharing
The share button may use your device’s Web Share feature or clipboard after you activate it. It shares the canonical Episode 01 link or the active question link, not your forecast. If neither feature is available, the site displays a selectable URL.
Hosting and fonts
Normal hosting and content-delivery infrastructure may process security and access logs containing an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, and timestamp. Brand typefaces are served by Hollywood Evolves, so loading a page does not make a font request to Google.
